This Dahlia is based on a photograph I took outside of Leonardo DaVinci’s home in France. It was absolutely luminous. When I started painting I blew up the photograph and was so excited to see a tiny ant. I took the ant to be a tiny wink from the Universe. It was a gift. I offer this gift to you.
